In the Planning Unit, we are responsible for the detailed planning work in the municipality and actively participate in the municipality's strategic planning efforts. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a planning architect at the Community Building Office, your main task is to work in the detailed planning process, but participation in other forms of planning tasks also occurs. Coordinating and leading project groups, preparing documentation, ordering studies, analyzing conditions, developing planning proposals, and preparing decision-making materials for politics are examples of the content of the work.

You will have significant responsibility for driving planning projects from start to finish, but you will not be alone in this. The work is done in collaboration with a cross-functional working group with many different competencies and with support from the planning manager, city architect, and other involved actors both internally and externally. You may also represent the organization in various projects, monitor changes in the environment, and follow developments in the planning and construction field. In this role, there may also be room for business development depending on interest and skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A master's degree focused on urban planning (for example, in physical planning, architecture, or landscape architecture), or alternatively, other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent.
• Good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act, the Environmental Code, and property law issues.
• The ability to express yourself appropriately in speech and writing.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
• Driver's license B.
• Experience in detailed planning work is an advantage.

Adobe, ArcGIS, Geosecma, SketchUp, and AutoCAD are some of the software you may handle. Working daily with digital tools is a given for you, and it is advantageous if you already know how to use these programs.

As a permanent employee of Kalmar Municipality, you will be assigned to your workplace in case of heightened preparedness and are expected to contribute with your work.
